Sedgwick’s NY Diversity Committee Hosts “Comfort Bags Drive” for Nonprofit Child Advocacy Group
The Sedgwick NY Diversity Committee hosted an officewide “Comfort Bags Drive” for a week in September to benefit Safe Horizon’s Queens Child Advocacy Group. Safe Horizon is a nonprofit organization that works with victims of domestic violence and their children. In response to Safe Horizon’s need for comfort bags for girls between the ages of 5 and 8, attorneys and staff from Sedgwick NY donated essentials for the children, such as toothbrushes, socks, pajamas, underwear, school supplies and stuffed animals, and filled travel backpacks for children who have to abruptly leave their homes because of domestic violence. Through the generosity of the Sedgwick NY team, Safe Horizon was able to distribute 15 bags.
Sedgwick NY is proud to support Safe Horizon. For the last five years, the office has held an annual holiday toy drive for the children at Safe Horizon, and looks forward to continuing the tradition for years to come.
