Biography
Lisa Henderson has over seventeen years of experience handling insurance coverage disputes, including defense of bad faith lawsuits. She has extensive experience representing and advising insurance carriers with regard to commercial general liability policies, excess liability policies, directors & officers liability policies, professional liability policies and media liability policies. While in law school, Ms. Henderson worked as a property adjuster and she has continued to specialize in property insurance disputes. She also represents carriers in bad faith lawsuits involving a variety of policies, including commercial general liability, excess liability, commercial property, homeowners’, and workers’ compensation.

Litigation Matters
Ms. Henderson’s litigation experience includes:
- Defense verdict on behalf of client in an insurance coverage case in which the insured sought reformation of the policy as well as damages and punitive damages for alleged misrepresentations and fraud in the underwriting of the policy.
- Defense verdict on behalf of insurance carrier client in an arson case.
- Summary judgment on behalf of carrier in a bad faith lawsuit seeking coverage for hail damage under a commercial property policy.
- Summary judgment on behalf of carrier in a declaratory judgment action regarding coverage under a homeowners’ insurance policy for an underlying lawsuit alleging defamation.
- Summary judgment on behalf of carrier in a bad faith lawsuit seeking coverage under a commercial general liability policy for an underlying lawsuit alleging defective construction of a condominium.
- Summary judgment on behalf of carrier in a declaratory judgment action seeking coverage as an additional insured under a commercial general liability policy.
- Summary judgment on behalf of reinsurer of a captive insurance company on a hospital professional liability policy.

Ms. Henderson is admitted to practice in Oregon (1995), Washington (1996) and Texas (2000). Ms. Henderson is also admitted before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, and for the District of Oregon. She is a member of the Dallas Bar Association.
