Alex Potts has joined the firm as special counsel in the Bermuda office.  Potts is a member of the firm's Insurance Division.

In addition to his experience in insurance and reinsurance, Potts is a commercial litigator with broad experience that crosses over into other practice areas, particularly insolvency and hedge funds.

His wide-ranging commercial litigation and arbitration practice also focuses on disputes in the fields of banking and other financial services, investment funds, professional negligence, aircraft finance, company law and trusts.

Potts has conducted cases and appeared as counsel before a variety of first-instance and appellate courts, arbitration tribunals, and regulatory tribunals in England and Wales (where he practiced as a barrister from 4 Pump Court, Temple), Bermuda and the Cayman Islands.

Potts is qualified as Barrister in England, Wales and Bermuda.  He earned his B.V.C., very competent, from Inns of Court School of Law (2000), and C.P.E., commendation, from City University, London (1999).  He received his B.A., with honors, from Oxford University (1998).
