Shaun A. Bean is an associate in Sedgwick’s New Jersey office and is a member of the firm’s Product Liability and Specialty Tort and Complex litigation practices. Shaun has a diverse practice in which he provides litigation and counseling services to companies ranging from small, closely held corporations, to well-known Fortune 500 companies. He has successfully defended businesses and individuals in cases involving toxic torts, product liability claims, employment and disability discrimination, and business torts, to name a few. Mr. Bean is routinely called upon to litigate and counsel companies faced with claims of unlawful disability discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as well as state and local anti-discrimination laws. He regularly appears in state and federal courts and has extensive appellate practice experience.

While in law school, Mr. Bean was a member of the Moot Court Board and winner of the Eugene Gressman Moot Court Competition. He was an editor of Seton Hall’s Journal of Sports & Entertainment Law. Mr. Bean also worked to obtain greater funding for Newark's charter schools and advocated on behalf of indigent clients at Seton Hall's Center for Social Justice. Upon graduation, Mr. Bean received the American Bar Association Award for Excellence in the Study of Labor and Employment Law.
